KEAUHOU The 14th annual Iolani Luahine Festival is Friday and Saturday at the Sheraton Kona Resort and Spa at Keauhou Bay.
The two day event honors famed hula dancer Iolani Luahine who preserved the ancient dance traditions.
Participants attended workshops on Friday and the day culminated with a hula competition and an evening concert.
The festival continues today with more workshops, a local arts and craft fair and hula competition for Keiki, ‘Opio and Wahine/Kane divisions.
